Corn Emergence Close to Completion Amid Worsening Conditions

Market Update

CME grain pricing soared today, as all prices were positive across the board. Corn surged $0.2725, reaching $6.71/st, and soybeans rose by $0.3750 to $15.14/st. This significant increase was likely caused by the dwindling crop ratings in yesterday’s crop progress report as well as a forecast offering an improved outlook. Additionally, soybean meal jumped by $26.40 to hit $439.20/st, while wheat increased by $0.3875 to settle at $7.34/st.
