Corn Crop Conditions Raise Concerns Before Pollination

Weekly Market Update

Grain and feed items were mixed through the week. Strong winds blew throughout South Central Illinois, Southern Iowa, and Northern Missouri yesterday, creating doubts regarding the quality of the corn crop ahead of pollination and prompting expectations of further rain over the next week. DDGs had varying levels this week, brought on by a decline in the corn market, holiday-related demand slump, and general lack of domestic and export demand.
