Renewable Fuel Blending Fell while Biofuel Capacity Climbed in April



EIA Biofuels Capacity and Feedstock Update

The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Monthly Biofuels Capacity and Feedstocks Update for April showed operable US Biofuel production capacity at 23.135 billion gallons, 36 million gallons above March and 1.66 billion gallons over April 2022. The Petroleum Supply Monthly report was also released, disclosed refinery and blender net inputs of renewable fuel to be 28.8 million barrels, 971 thousand barrels below March and 102 thousand barrels under April 2022. US inputs of renewable fuel were 63 percent of capacity in April, down from 65 percent in March.
