Subsoil Moisture Remains Depleted; Poultry-by Items Under Pressure

Poultry-by-product pet food grade was indicated as softer onr Thursday due to flooded markets. A low of $700/st was reported on the Mid-South and Southeast, while trades as high as $850/st were unconfirmed as of press time. In the Midwest, poultry-by pet grade was slightly softer, with most stating the recent holiday diminished trade.

Both ruminant and porcine meat and bonemeal saw mixed calls for the day with some at the high end of the range, while others continue to witness hit-and-miss demand, pushing values to the bottom end. Bloodmeal was flat on the day, though contacts communicated diminished dairy feed demand with amino acid replacing higher priced items.
