Slowing Biodiesel and RD Use Drags June US Blending Lower

2023 Biomass-Based Diesel Blending Continues Quarterly Pace 34% Over 2022

June U.S. renewable fuel blending pulled back from the monthly all-time high of 1.81 billion gallons reached in May, falling two percent to 1.78 billion gallons in June. Renewable fuel consumption was down slightly month over month but was seven percent above the 1.66 billion gallons blended during June of 2022. Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) credit generation reached 2.04 billion RINs in June, 3.4 percent below May but 10 percent over June 2022.
