Feathermeal Prices Steady Despite Soybean Meal Increases

Limited trades were reported for the day on animal proteins, leaving most items flat for Tuesday. Values on porcine bloodmeal were indicated higher from some sources on the IA/MO/NE region, however, values above the printed range could not be confirmed as of press time. Pricing on porcine meat and bonemeal were also wide ranging with a high of $540/st, outside the bulk trading today. 

Poultry by-product pet grade has been called mixed for the day with some reporting as high as $850/st on Mid-South while others were as low as $650/st out of the Southeast. The ends of the wide spread could not be confirmed by press time. However, sources did confirm there have been distressed sales and short buys at higher and lower levels.
