July Wrap Up for Animal Proteins

July Wrap Up for Animal Proteins

At the start of August, wide ranges were indicated on the porcine meat and bonemeal, Mo. River region. A spread of $450-530/st was reported on Mo. River; however, spot sales over $500/st could not be confirmed for non-pet food trades. Eastern IA/ILL and Indiana were reported as high as $540/st but could not be confirmed at press time. Ruminant meat and bonemeal was flat for the day with trades reported within the range.

Ruminant meat and bonemeal continued to show pressure, with the Tx. Panhandle down to a new range of $1000-1100/st. while the Mo. River region was flat. Porcine bloodmeal was lower on the Mo. River for the day with an $1150/st low for the region. Most other regions remained flat; however, pressure was reported though no price adjustments were noted.
