The values on animal proteins for Tuesday were mixed with pressure and wider ranges indicated on porcine related items and some regions of poultry-by items. This past weekend, hog slaughter levels were diminished with some facilities utilizing a floating holiday, either on Friday or Monday.

Porcine meat and bonemeal, Mo. River was reported as low as $400/st, while the top end was communicated as high as $530/st. There was no confirmation at the ends of the ranges at press time, leading to a $420-500/st range for porcine mbm, Mo. River. Pressure was reported on the other porcine mbm regions, dropping values on buyer pushback.

Porcine bloodmeal, IA/MO/NE was also conveyed as softer, with a low of $1150/st. while the Mid-Atlantic and Indiana regions were under pressure as well, but not to the $1150/st low. Ruminant bloodmeal was weaker on reformulations and diminished overall interest.
