Corn and Wheat Export Sales Exceed Expectations

CME grain pricing showed a positive trend today. September corn increased by $0.0225, jumping to $4.83/bu despite favorable weather conditions across the Heartland this week suggest potential for production improvements. September wheat rose by $0.0275, reaching $6.37/bu. However, September soybeans fell, decreasing by $0.0325 and settling at $13.52/bu. while further out contracts rose by 9 cents. Additionally, September soymeal prices increased by $2.30, reaching $415.00/st.

Weekly Export Sales – Released August 10, 2023

Weekly soybean export sales for August 3rd in the 2022/23 marketing year were 406.6 thousand metric tons (TMT), 372.5 TMT higher than last week’s total and above the previous four-week average of 70.2 TMT.
