Poultry-By Pet Grade Up in MS & SE; Subsoil Moisture Remains Down

Trades on most animal proteins for the day were indicated as steady, though supportive pricing for poultry-by pet grade and chicken meal was reported for the near term. The low end moved up for poultry-by pet grade with a new low of $700/st on the Southeast and of $750/st for Mid-South. There have been communications of high volume being discarded due to maintenance and down time at a plant on the East Coast, tightening offering levels in the near term for several regions. Chicken meal was reported with a new range of $875-975/st. Bulk volume at $1000/st could not be confirmed as of press time. Ruminant meat and bonemeal had accounts of pressure, though values remained rangebound for most on diminished offering levels.
