Cottonseed Oil Prices Extend Higher with More Gains for SBO

In the cash market, indications for Mississippi Valley cottonseed oil (PBSY) continued to climb, tacking on another two cents per pound since early this week and a total of four cents per pound from last week to 74 cents per pound on Thursday. Spot market values rose again on the back of additional gains in soybean oil futures on the CME. Corn oil prices settled into a range in the high 60-cents per pound.

In Chicago, nearby September soy oil futures closed at 67.76 cents per pound, up 99 basis points per pound, or 1.5 percent. December soybean oil settled at 63.78 cents per pound, up 97 basis points per pound, or 1.5 percent.
