OIG Urges Action by USDA

Merchandisers tell Fastmarkets there has been a crackdown on imported products entering the United States. Merchandisers are also keen to receive documentation that shows the origin of a product and anyone along the line that is handling organic grains.

As a follow-up to our piece yesterday on Strengthening Organic Enforcement, a report from the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) found the USDA needs to do more to ensure the integrity of organic imports.
