Excessive Heat Warnings Across the Midwest

Trading activity for DDGS remained consistent today as sources reported within current ranges. Market participants noted that demand seems to be increasing, yet supply continues to be limited. Other sources reported that the supply is expected to remain tight into September.

CME grain pricing was mixed today, with September corn decreasing $0.1025, falling to $4.69/bu, and September soybeans increasing by $0.0725, settling at $13.70/bu. Furthermore, September soymeal prices saw a rise of $5.90 to reach $409.80/st. while September wheat declined by $0.1400, dropping to $5.99/bu. Farmers are being cautious about making sales this week due to the current hot and dry forecasts. Today, soybean prices officially reached a three-week high, supported by promising export prospects and concerns on pod development.
