Animal Fats Prices Marginally Higher Week on Week

Trading was mostly steady this week with some fluctuations up and down, typically within a penny, in the fats, oils, and grease markets. On a weekly average basis, packer BFT Chicago was up 0.6 percent from last week, but trading was limited to formula-based deals. Choice white grease was up 0.5 percent last week, trading in a range of 64-65 cts/lb FOB Mo. River. There was light trading this week, two trucks, done as high as 66 cts/lb, but the bulk was done at the 64.5 cts/lb average.
