Limited Trading on Grain By-Products

Limited Trading on Grain By-Products

Trading activity for grain and feed items was limited this week due to the ongoing effects of the heat wave, which is still causing a lack of moisture in the Heartland. However, there are indications that the heat will begin to weaken later tonight, and there is a chance of light showers in the West-Central Plains, Upper Midwest, and Eastern Corn Belt. While trading activity for DDGS remained consistent this week, with sources reporting within current ranges, market participants observed an increase in demand with limited supply. It is anticipated by certain sources that the supply will remain tight until September.

There were no changes observed in the market for corn gluten products this week, as no active trades were reported. Although some market participants mentioned a potential decrease in prices for corn gluten feed, it has not yet been confirmed as other sources reported within current ranges.
