Corn, Soybeans and Spring Wheat Quality Trend Lower

CME grain prices experienced a downward trend today with September corn decreasing $0.0900, closing at $4.69/bu, while September soybeans slumped $0.1325 to settle at $13.82/bu. In addition, September soymeal fell by $6.40 to reach $419.30/st. and September wheat decreased by $0.1825 to $5.69/bu. Over the past few weeks, the price of grains have experienced a significant amount of fluctuation. The hot weather of last week posed a risk to the quality of crops, although analysts were surprised to find that the USDA did not decrease ratings to the extent that they had anticipated.
