Lower Export Sales for Soybeans and Corn in the New MY

CME grain prices were mixed today, December wheat declined by $0.0350 to $5.93/bu. December corn fell by $0.0175 to $4.80/bu, and November soybeans surged by $0.1075, settling at $13.60/bu. Additionally, October soymeal prices increased by $4.50 to reach $400.40/st. The uncertainty surrounding the future of Black Sea wheat exports applied pressure to wheat prices today. However, soybean prices experienced a double digit boost due to a round of technical buying, as analysts anticipate a positive soybean crush report from NOPA tomorrow.

Weekly Export Sales – Released September 14, 2023

Weekly soybean export sales for September 7th in the 2023/24 marketing year totaled 703.9 thousand metric tons (TMT). This is a decrease of 1,079 TMT compared to last week’s total and is above the previous four-week average of 105.3 TMT. The sales for the 2024/25 crop season were zero, resulting in a total of 703.9 TMT in sales….
