Pet Food Exports Fall from 2022 Levels

Trading was very quiet today with limited changes reported. 

Dog and Cat food Export

According to the September release from the U.S. Census Bureau, July 2023 dog and cat food exports were lower in terms of US$/mt and tonnage compared to last year. Dollar values for July had a year-to-date drop of 1.2 percent from 2022 for the respective time. Meanwhile, year-to-date volume has declined from last year for the same span of time, lower by 13.4 percent or $75.247/mt. (Fig. 1, 2, and 3)
