Cottonseed Oil Prices Step Lower with SBO Weakness

At the cash market, indications for Mississippi Valley cottonseed oil (PBSY) dropped four cents from prior assessments. Values stepped down from 74 cents per pound last week to 70 cents per pound, one of the lowest levels yet this year. This was attributed to ongoing weakness in soybean oil futures on the CME. Spot cottonseed oil prices are down close to 30 percent from the 2023 high of 98 cents per pound reached in January.
