Aug Animal Protein Stocks Higher but Remain below 2022 Levels

Values on animal proteins for Tuesday were generally flat. Porcine bloodmeal was reported as low as $850/st, though the bulk of trade could not be confirmed that low at press time. Porcine meat and bonemeal was flat for the day along with poultry by-product pet grade. Chicken meal was higher on the low end, with a new range of $950-1000/st. Alabama/Georgis and Eastern rail trade for ruminant meat and bonemeal was lower on the day with values moving under the previously set ranges.

According to the October USDA Oilseed Crushing, Production, Consumption and Stocks data, stock levels for August showed larger adjustments month-on-month when compared to prior months. August stocks rose for all three items: meat and bonemeal, feathermeal, and poultry-by from the prior month.
