Fat, UCO and DCO Weekly Averages Continue to Slide

The Chicago market was active today with three cars of packer BFT traded at 65 cts/lb, three cars of renderer BFT at 67 cts/lb and two cars of CWG at 63 cts/lb. 
Fat, grease and oil weekly average prices continued to tumble this week, down across the board compared to last week and month prior levels. Packer BFT moved down 2.2 percent on a weekly average basis. Gulf trading was lower this week as well, down to 65 cts/lb delivered to close out the week.
Choice white grease FOB Mo. River was down 3.4 percent from the prior week’s average and has fallen 7.4 percent over the last four weeks. UCO and DCO prices had the biggest week-on-week drops, down 4.1 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively. Compared to the weekly average from the week ending September 8th, the UCO average is down 5.2 cts/lb and DCO down 5.5 cts/lb.
