Soybean Crush Sets Record for Sept as Biofuel SBO Demand Rises

The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) reported the September soybean crush at 165.456 million bushels. This was a record for the month and above the trade census of 161.683 million bushels. Estimates for the crush ranged from 153.7 million to 167 million bushels.

The crush typically cycles lower around September as processors tend to take downtime for seasonal maintenance. Instead, the September crush was 2.5 percent above the August crush and eclipsed the prior high for the month of 161.491 million bushels crushed reached in September 2020.
