Weekly U.S. DCO Production Climbs

Overall market activity was subdued again on Wednesday due to the annual American Fats and Oils Association conference in Nashville. Choice white grease into the Mo. River market traded at 54 cts/lb and 55 cts/lb, in small volumes.

Soybean oil futures eased further at midweek on additional profit-taking. The most widely traded soybean oil futures contract in Chicago closed below 55 cents per pound, at 54.86 cents per pound, down 49 basis points per pound, or 0.9 percent.

 

The EIA released its ethanol production estimates on Wednesday in the Weekly Petroleum Status Report for the week ending October 13th at 1.035 million barrels per day (b/d). The estimate is up 31,000 b/d from the week prior and is approximately 13,200 b/d above the August-September weekly average.
