The facility will have an annual soy crushing capacity of 1.5 million metric tons (MT), annual soybean production capacity of 320,000 MT and annual lecithin production capacity of 7,500 MT. Construction is expected to begin in early 2024 and the plant is expected to employ over 100 people.

The new plant is part of LDC’s global expansion strategy to increase its processing capacity and to meet the growing demand for soybean products. The plant will compliment LDC’s current soybean processing facility located in Claypool, Indiana.
