The market was quiet on Wednesday with most prices steady following a flurry of trades at lower values the day before. Many market participants were away from their desks at the North American Renderers Association (NARA) conference in Naples, Florida.

Demand for animal fats from the biofuels industry has dropped and this continues to push prices lower despite solid interest from the feed and oleochemical sectors. Today, choice white grease prices out of the Mo. River, Indiana and the Carolinas markets were down. CWG traded mostly between 46-48 cts/lb FOB, with trucks reported as high as 50 cts/lb FOB Mo. River.
