Price Slide Continues in Animal Fats Market

Trading was quiet to close out the week with no changes reported in the fats, used cooking oil (UCO), and distiller’s corn oil (DCO) markets.
For the week, prices were sharply lower on a week-on-week average basis. Packer BFT finished the week at an average of 52.5 cts/lb Chicago after trading at that level last Friday. The weekly average is down 5.1 percent from last week and down 15.1 percent from the week ending October 13th.
CWG FOB Mo. River was down 5.5 percent from last week and is down 15.9 percent from the week ending Oct 13th. On weekly average basis D4 RINS were down 6.4 percent from last week and nearby CME heating oil was down 2.4 percent.
Gulf UCO was down 4.3 percent from last week and down 16.6 percent from the week ending October 13th.
