October Soybean Crush Hits New Monthly All-Time High

U.S. soybean crush reached its highest monthly level ever at 189.8 million bushels in October, the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) reported on Wednesday. The October monthly crush, which was above the average market expectation of 187 million bushels, was also up almost 15 percent on the month and three percent on the year. The October crush surpassed the prior all-time high of 186.438 million bushels crushed in December 2021.

NOPA members process about 95 percent of the U.S.’s soybeans. October generally sees one of the highest soybean crush levels of the year because seasonal maintenance work at plants winds down and newly harvested soybeans are sent to processors.
