Thanksgiving Holiday and Increased Offerings Pressure Animal Proteins

Values were generally flat at the end of the week. Confirmations on higher ruminant bloodmeal pushed the values up to a new range of $1025-1150/st. Values over were reported but could not be confirmed as of press time. Lower porcine meat and bonemeal was indicated today, dropping the low on Mo. River to $380/st.

The animal proteins market was highly irregular this week. Pressure was witnessed on ruminant meat and bonemeal, feathermeal, and poultry by-product pet grade, even with a rise in soybean meal. Next week, some packing plants will have a three-day processing week due to the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, creating more unease in the market.
