Uptick in Trading Activity as Organic Corn Prices Slide

Midwest organic corn prices have decreased, with merchandisers reporting bids near $8 and offers closer to $9/bu.  Organic feed wheat has dropped as a knock-on effect of falling prices for corn, a key energy component of organic feeds.  Bids for smaller lots of organic corn are reported below $8, as are loads out of Wisconsin, which are not reflected in Fastmarkets- Jacobsen “Corn – Organic Feed Midwest” prices.
