Spot Corn, CSO, Sunflower Oil Prices Extend Lower

Although actual trading remained thin, corn oil, sunflower, and cottonseed oil price indications softened this week by anywhere from 1-3.5 cents. Tepid demand from both the biofuels and non-biofuel sectors for vegetable oils has been leaning on prices, which are down sharply on the year. Crude corn oil in the Midwest was assessed in a range in the mid-60 cents per pound. Refined corn oil in the region was pegged at about a 10-cent premium to crude corn oil.
