October Soybean Crush Tops 200 Million Bushels

U.S. soybean crushing volumes reached 201 million bushels in October, the USDA reported on December 1 in its Monthly Fats & Oils report. This was up 26 million bushels, or 14 percent, from September’s record monthly crush level of 175 million bushels. 

Crude soybean oil produced in October was 2.38 billion pounds, up 14 percent from September and two percent on the year. Refined soybean oil production totaled 1.89 billion pounds in October, increasing nine percent from the month before and five percent from October 2022.
