It was an active day in the market with tallow trading lower on a Chicago basis today. Packer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded down to 47 cts/lb Chicago for three rail cars. A good volume of technical tallow traded down to 49 cts/lb Chicago and choice white grease (CWG) was lower on a Chicago basis as well. Renderer BFT remains quiet with no activity reported.
Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) was lower this afternoon on an FOB basis, falling to a 51 – 52 range for most markets with action seen for December and indicated lower for January, although for limited volume.
