Central Illinois Soybean Market Continues to Drop

Today’s report suggest that DDGS prices had a slight decrease in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Market participants have noted a sense of heaviness in the market.

CME grain prices were mixed on Monday. March wheat declined $0.2225, closing at $6.09/bu, and January soybeans increased by $0.32, settling at $13.36/bu. In addition, January soymeal rose by $8.50 to $413.20/st. while March corn dropped by $0.04, reaching $4.81/bu. The decrease in corn and wheat prices was largely caused by abundant global supplies and unfavorable export inspection data. However, soybeans surged by double-digits due to Brazil’s production cuts and due to the country facing ongoing hot and dry weather.
