Organic Dairy Exports Rise

Organic Valley has grown into the largest organic cooperative in the U.S. since its founding by organic farmer George Siemon in 1988.  Organic Valley has been a major contributor to the development of organic feed demand and has taken a firm position on more stringent livestock and poultry organic standards as a means to protect the integrity of organic markets.

Since Organic Valley’s inception, the cooperative has gathered over 460,000 acres of certified organic farmland to supply organic milk and other dairy products.  Expansion of organic dairy production is a key element to expanding organic feed demand.
