International animal proteins were called flat for the last two weeks, with limited trade reported in most regions. Very low demand out of Australia was communicated for both Singapore and the USA. The New Zealand market was steady as well due to the low production and diminished holiday trade.

The US animal proteins have been flat for the start of 2024. Most are hesitant to move most items with the unsettled tones for the present spot market and out-front. California’s proposition 12 began on January 1, 2024, increased the market unease due to heightened regulations and a disruption in the normal domestic trade flows.
