Steep Drop on Soybean Crush Margins, Hit 6-Month Low

Based on the most recent reports, DDGS prices have dropped out of the Minnesota/Dakotas, Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio markets. Market participants have commented that the market is trending downwards due to the weakening corn and soymeal markets.

CME grain pricing had a negative trend today. March corn decreased $0.0575, falling to $4.55/bu. March wheat fell $0.1975, dropping to $5.96/bu. March soybeans shifted down, with a decrease of $0.1075 and settling at $12.45/bu. Additionally, March soymeal prices were down $0.90 to $368.50/st. Declining crude oil prices and favorable weather in South America triggered another round of technical selling today, which pushed corn prices to their lowest levels in over three years. Meanwhile, soybeans faced double-digit losses, reaching a two-year low. Additionally, wheat prices also suffered double-digit losses, following other commodities.
