Renewable Diesel Demand for Vegetable Oils Falls

EIA Biofuels Capacity and Feedstock Update

The Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Monthly Biofuels Capacity and Feedstocks Update showed operable US Biofuel capacity reached a new high of 23.657 billion gallons during October. Capacity was 162 million gallons above September and 2.256 billion gallons over October 2022. The Petroleum Supply Monthly report disclosed refinery and blender net inputs of renewable fuel to be 30 million barrels, 1.08 million barrels above September, and 324 thousand barrels above October 2022. US inputs of renewable fuel were 64 percent of capacity.
