Grain Export Sales Rise, Wheat Exceeds Expectations

CME grain prices were mixed on Friday. March wheat increased by $0.0775, closing at $5.93/bu while March soybeans dropped by $0.0025, settling at $12.13/bu. In addition, March soymeal dropped by $4.80 to $356.50/st, but March corn rose by $0.015 to $4.45/bu. Although grain prices have had a few rough sessions this week, they concluded the week with a slightly positive outcome. Corn and wheat prices showed moderate gains, following a round of technical buying and a strong round of export sales data released by the USDA.
