DDGs prices increased in the Minnesota/Dakotas market, while values in Channahon, IL, Indiana, and Ohio dropped. Market participants mentioned that supplies are tight due to the recent slowdown in plant production and noted that the market continues to feel heavy.
Most CME grain prices were on a downward trend on Monday. The only grain that showed an increase was March soymeal, which rose by $5.30 and closed at $354.30/st. March soybeans shifted down by $0.15 to $11.94/bu. Furthermore, March corn dropped by $0.06 to $4.40/bu, and March wheat fell by $0.0675 to $5.93/bu. Grain prices dropped once again due to lingering demand concerns and large global stocks. Soybean prices faced double-digit losses due to the harvest progress in Brazil, where a record-breaking crop is still expected this season. Furthermore, wheat and corn prices declined following a round of technical selling.
