Slower Poultry Product Rendering Pushes PFG PBM Prices Higher

Trading was fairly quiet today with many in Atlanta for the International Production & Processing Expo. Indications were broadly sideways with some weakness in the porcine and ruminant bloodmeal markets, and strength in the poultry bloodmeal market.

Feathermeal did trade lower today, falling below $500/st on the bottom side of the FOB range. Sources continue to report tight supplies on pet grade poultry by-product meal (PFG PBM), and tight supplies on rendered poultry products in general. Trading was reported higher today on an FOB basis for PFG PBM FOB Southern markets.
