WASDE Release Lowers Total Production Out Front

Limited trade was indicated on the animal proteins market for Thursday as most expect market variations following the USDA WASDE release. There were minimal revisions month-on-month for soybean meal estimates in the U.S. in the WASDE report for February. However, year-over-year values were higher for most sections including ending stocks, up 14.3 percent, and exports, higher by 11.7 percent. The price of soybean meal was forecasted lower than the previous year for the respective month, down 15.6 percent, or $70.00/st.
