Corn and Wheat Export Inspections Rise, Soybeans Drop

Price ranges for corn gluten products remained relatively stable throughout the day. However, there were reports on corn gluten feed that led to a decline in Midwest barge and rail prices. Overall, market participants noted a quiet tone in the market for Tuesday and reported steady price levels for corn gluten meal.

CME grain prices were mixed on Tuesday. March wheat remained unchanged at $5.97/bu while March soybeans decreased by $0.0675, settling at $11.86/bu. In addition, March soymeal dropped by $4.10 to $344.80/st, but March corn rose by $0.0025 to $4.30/bu. Following some light technical buying, corn prices were able to secure modest gains. However, soybeans suffered a decline as the ongoing anticipation of strong production from South America kept pressure on soybeans and negatively affected other grains.
