Porcine BM Moves at an Inverse to Ruminant BM

Porcine BM Moves at an Inverse to Ruminant BM

For Wednesday, meat and bonemeal as well as feathermeal were reported within the previously set ranges. The chicken meal, Mid-South price was unquoted today, due to a lack of fresh reports in the market.

Most other items were unsettled at mid-week. Bulk trades for porcine bloodmeal, Mo. River, were indicated in a new range of $1150-1200/st. Limited trade has been reported outside this range as well as bids and offering levels further out. However, pressure on porcine bloodmeal has been indicated from most with the diminished feed inclusion increasing offering levels. Ruminant bloodmeal was flat on the day and at an inverse to porcine, most likely due to the lower cattle slaughter levels keeping inventories tighter, even with less demand reported from some.
