International Animal Proteins 29.02.2024

Most values in the global protein market were steady to lower for this week. Bloodmeal in the Australian market was reported as softer for this week, AU$1450-1500/mt. Sources indicated that increased slaughter is weighing on offer levels for bloodmeal.
Meat and bonemeal (MBM) prices in Australia were softer due a combination of lower soybean meal prices, diminished interest from the local market, and continued headwinds into some export markets, including Vietnam. The Australia domestic market was at AU$700-730/mt.
MBM into China and Indonesia were both lower with most still quiet following the holiday period. China was pushed lower to a new range of US$520-535/mt. Indonesia was in a range of US$525-535/mt.
