Cash vegetable oil markets end week in quiet fashion

Physical vegetable oil markets closed out the week with a whimper again. Participants said the markets have been sloppy since feedstock demand from the renewable diesel sector remains dismal.

“I don’t think there is a producer running well, or not getting ready for a turnaround,” one market source said. Several large renewable diesel plants are expected to begin planned turnarounds in April.
