Global UCO prices continue to trade at wide premium to US

The tallow market was a flat 41 cents lb delivered US Gulf today, although there was light trading done at 44 cents lb. Buyers looking for quick ship material did pay higher on Wednesday and again early Thursday, but the bulk of volume was done at 41 cents lb.

Bids for tallow into the Gulf fell to 40.5 cents lb later in the day on weakness in the soybean oil and heating oil markets. Lower crude prices weighed on the refined products as well as on soybean oil.

Trading was higher into the Southeast on UCO, up to 40 cents lb, and trading was done as low as 40 cents lb del US Gulf. Bids were down into the Gulf market for DCO, heard at 46 cents lb.
