DCO production falls on seasonal maintenance in ethanol sector

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) traded into the Gulf market in a range of 44.5 – 45.25 cents lb delivered on Wednesday.
Slowing demand for May has contributed to the lower values and sellers have dropped their prices to keep product moving, this all comes despite a slowdown in ethanol production.
Used cooking oil (UCO) traded lower into the Gulf market as well, down to a low of 39.5 cents lb delivered.
Trading was done into the California market at 40-42 cents lb delivered in rail cars, while truck FOB values continue to trade in the 32-33 cents lb range.
Ten cars of technical tallow traded lower on a Chicago basis, down to 50 cents lb.
Choice white grease (CWG) remains firm on an FOB basis, trading in a range of 38.5 – 39. 5 cents lb FOB Mo. River on Wednesday and higher out of the Carolinas market as well.
CWG delivered into the US Gulf market was done at 40 cents lb, which may start to weigh on FOB values from the Midwest.
