Domestic soybean oil, meal exports rebound on week

US net soybean oil weekly exports for 2023-2024 were up by 54.5% in the week ended April 11, while soybean cake and meal shipments increased by 25%, according to data from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) released on Thursday April 18.

The US exported 1,100 tonnes of soybean oil to Mexico, 400 tonnes to Canada and 100 tonnes to the United Arab Emirates during the week in review. The US exported a total of 1,100 tonnes of soybean oil in the week ended April 4.
 
Net US soyoil export sales were reported at 100 tonnes for the 2023-2024 marketing year, down by 97% on the week and by 96% from the four-week average. Net increases for Mexico (400 tonnes) were partially offset by reductions for Canada (200 tonnes).
