The market was quiet heading into the weekend. Used cooking oil (UCO) traded in large volume into the Gulf at 40 cents per lb delivered in the truck market.
On the week, animal fats prices were flat to higher. Packer BFT on a Chicago basis was steady at 42 cents per lb. Choice white grease (CWG) and yellow grease (YG) FOB Mo. River advanced, with the CWG market increasing by 0.39% and YG following, rising by 2.67%. Demand for both CWG and YG from the feed and local biofuels sector has been robust over the last few weeks.
