The Strengthening Organic Enforcement Act (SOE) implementation has come and gone, but concerns about organic integrity persist. Imports are a lingering concern, but the SOE Act hasn’t had time to address deeply entrenched fraud in organic markets.

Stakeholders have shared frustration with Fastmarkets over buyers’ commitments to organic integrity. Low pricing is the key specification these buyers are looking for, and this makes sense. Most buyers in this space are part of a larger company, and performance is evaluated based on their ability to make good deals.
